Could be better

could be better, more complete. The software isnt intuitive, i would like change the color of the spray, and i didnt find how to do... so it is a good idea but could be more easy... still beeing a nice software.

Top App

Macht was es soll und funktioniert ohne Probleme.

iSplash

Works great with my new MacPro but not at all with my first gen Intel Mac desktop. I emailed the company support center and I got a quick response from the developer and told me that he is working on an update...see what happens. MM from Canada.

it would be awesome but....

Maybe its just me but the app doesnt give me acess to my iphoto library when importing a photo? All my pics are in iphoto. so since this is a a mac app and the magority of users use iphoto could you fix or explain this?

Great app!

Gives a whole new meaning to your pics.

Everything is good but but needs instructions

Great app. I pretty much figured it out but wish there were instructions to save me time. For those that want to access your iphoto library, click open and then the media tab on the left of that window. Took my 20 minutes to realize that.

Amazing App Overall

Overall, this is a very good app. I am used to the complicated procedure of using Photoshop or GIMP or something like that, taking lots of time (sometimes more than an hour or two) to select something, masking my selection, and desaturating the image just to get this part color and part grayscale effect. This app makes it easier, because you can pretty much just paint a general area that you want in color and then use the "gray splash" brush to fine-tune it so that only exactly what you want is in color. I only have a few suggestions: 1. What if one wants to have the whole image in color except for a few parts? I think users should have the option of starting the photo out in full color OR grayscale, and not have to start out with everything colorless unless they want to. 2. I think that users should have the option of color filtering. Say you have a picture of a blue hat on a guys head, and you want the hat to be in color. If my proposed color filtering was added, one could set a specific range of blue hues and saturations that the brush would colorize. This would allow users to carelessly drag the coloring brush over the hat quickly and still only color the hat, so long as there isnt anything else of that shade of blue in the area that the user is covering with the brush. 3. Support for .jpg files. iSplash supports .jpeg, but not .jpg. Other than that, this is a really decent app and I appreciate its ability to make cool pictures without complex tools and interfaces that would confuse some users. I fully recommend to anybody, it is a great app (especially for the price)

Isplash

I just bought it, easy to use and really cheap app. But My main problem is, How can i change the color??? No color chart ? Any idea. Thanks

"Its Good" will become "Its Better" with iPhoto Export

Great app for what I want to do, however, as suggested below buy another user, is their not a way to make this app work with iPhoto? A quick export to iSplash from iPhoto would save at least a couple steps.

its pretty cool

its a pretty cool app and its easly to use. definatly get it while its a dollar, even though its worth the $5

Dont even hesitate to buy this....

....especially before the price goes up. I cant believe what i just bought for a dollar! I downloaded this app about a half an hour ago and went into my iPhoto to find a picture to work with. I found one of a young couple (friends of mine) at their outdoor wedding. They had a table set up for them to sign at with their garden as a backdrop and there was a pot of orange and yellow flowers on the table. I "drag and dropped" the picture from iPhoto to iSplash and the picture opened as black and white. I found the controls very easy to figure out (about a two minute learning curve), and just expanded the flowers I wanted to work with and used the paint circle (adjusting the size from time to time) You are just going to have to believe me on how awesome this picture looks now. Everybody at the wedding took this same picture but this one really stands out. My honest opinion is just get it and have some fun. A dollar! Hard to believe.

Good app

I just downloaded the app since its still .99 cents. I tried to drag and drop the photos from iphoto to isplash. That did not work. I put my photos in my documents folder to access them. I wish the program worked with iphoto.

practical

Easy to use. does what it says. quite simple. 1$ is a good deal, but 5$ for this...nah

Not happy!

As a personal point of view, this app is really not practical. Instead of it being a color filter, you have to color things yourself... not really great!

nope

still doesnt work.... imports pictures in full colour.. how do you convert them to grey?

Kind of misleading...

When I saw the pictures I assumed this program helped you to selectively colourize sections of your photos. Wrong. Basically it just paints back in colour to whatever you run the brush over, no smart selectivity whatsoever. Use ColorBlast instead for your iphone, its much better.

Original color only?

It is an extraordinary application. The only thing is that you cant change the original color. Id really be happy if thered be an option to choose the color you want OR to take the original color. Anyways, great app.

Awesome!

This App is excellent - in one step you can do what takes several steps in PhotoShop - LOVE this APP!

32 bit ?

bought the app on a 32bit machine, it doesnt work as advertised .... will there ever be a fix for the 32bit version ?

Works well!

This is a very decent app at a more-than-fair price (99¢)! It does exactly what it claims to do and features a friendly user interface. The only thing that kept me from giving this app 5 stars is the way in which it handles iPhoto integration: it simply points the "Open File" dialog at the iPhoto library directory bundle, which is workable but not optimal. (User tip: Scroll down and select "Photos" from the sidebar in the Open dialog for a more convenient and familiar way of choosing a photo from your iPhoto library.) Note to the developers: I think at least one of your screenshots in the App Store should actually show your application. Currently they are all Preview.app screenshots.
